Should I use mousse or setting lotion for when my hair is in rollers?

My hair is a little below the shoulders with short and thick layers to some extent. I have different types of sizes of sows / mesh rollers. I was thinking about using the largest for the volume. I do both the volume and curls. I do not want my hair is so stiff and hard with the mousse or cream, so what I use. I'll wash my hair before and let it air dry a bit before putting my rollers in. Then to put my hair in rollers sprayed with hair spray lightly and sleep with them overnight. After take-off was thinking about pulling hair and my hair again spraying with spray hair to keep every day for a wedding. Help me please.

Mousse is generally less sticky hairspray in my experience. You can go easy with hair spray, too.
